04:00 hrs.: The adventure begins very early in the morning when you will be picked up in your Hotel to go to the colorful town of Pitumarca on the south side of Cusco. We will make a stop to provide you at last minute chance to purchase necessary things before the start of the tour such as water or energy drinks, snack, cereals, etc.
After this short stop, we will continue our journey where we will observe the multicolored landscapes and crops that mix between the mysterious mountains and snowy mountains. Here you can find Andean animals such as the llama, alpaca, sheep, vicuñas and see the deep valleys. At 6:30 am we will arrive to the town of Japura (Hanchipata), the starting point of our trek where you will enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast prepared by our Chef.
After having enjoyed breakfast, we will start our 3 ½ hour trek up the mountain until we reach the town of Machuraccay where we will then ascend to the foothills of the Vinicunca Hill, place of access to this mystical place.
Continuing the walk we will go through a path that, little by little, will change the landscape between mountains of intense colors and small streams of cold water that gives life to the valley. As we walk we will observe how the colors of our surroundings will change due to the climate until we will reach an altitude of 5,033 meters above sea level, the top of the mysterious mountain of 7 colors (Vinicunca). At this point you will have enough time to be able to take pictures, videos, etc. and enjoy some food while your sights delight in the magic that the mountains enclose behind a veil of clouds and snowy peaks. After such an exquisite experience we will start the return walk to the town of Japura (Hanchipata) where we will have a delicious buffet lunch prepared by our Chef. Later in the day we will return to Cusco arriving at around 7:00 p.m.
